For us it's simple, real, responsibly sourced ingredients you can recognise, and nothing your dog doesn't need. Scrumbles natural dog food champions proper poultry or fish as the #1 ingredient, alongside veggies, fibre and gut-friendly goodness like prebiotics or probiotics. We never add sugar, salt or artificial colours, flavouring or preservatives because dogs deserve better. Whether you're looking for natural dry dog food or natural wet dog food, every recipe is designed to support happy digestion, healthy poops and optimal nutrition. Dogs are carnivores at heart, so we pack in quality animal protein, while keeping our ingredients lists short, simple and free from unnecessary fillers.

Not always. Grain free recipes avoid grains entirely, while gluten-free foods avoid only gluten-containing grains like wheat. All Scrumbles grain-free recipes are naturally gluten-free too.

Itchy skin can have several causes, including allergies, parasites or environmental factors, so it's always best to check with your vet to understand what's behind it. At Scrumbles, we make gut-friendly recipes with carefully selected ingredients, including options with single-source protein and omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids to help maintain healthy skin and a glossy coat.

All our wet dog food recipes are complete and suitable for puppies and older dogs from 8wks. They're soft, high in protein and easy for little mouths to manage.

Poor gut health in dogs can show up in several ways. Common signs include loose or runny poos, constipation, excessive gas, vomiting, or a change in appetite or weight. Some dogs may have a dull coat or show signs of discomfort after eating. Occasional upset tummies are normal, but frequent or persistent symptoms can indicate an imbalance in the gut. A diet with gentle, easily digestible ingredients, natural fibres, and gut-friendly nutrients can help support a healthy digestive system and overall wellbeing - like all our recipes!

Most pets switch to Scrumbles without any issues, but for sensitive cats and dogs, we recommend a gradual transition over 7–10 days (or longer for puppies and kittens) to avoid upset tummies. Slow and steady wins the gut-health race! This gentle approach helps their digestion adjust and reduces the risk of discomfort, especially if you’re switching from a highly processed or raw diet. Start by mixing a little Scrumbles with their current food, gradually increasing the amount until they’re on 100% Scrumbles: Days 1–3: 25% Scrumbles, 75% old food; Days 3–4: 50/50; Days 5–6: 75% Scrumbles, 25% old food; Day 7+: 100% Scrumbles. Monitor stool quality and behaviour throughout. If you notice any digestive issues, slow the process, ensure they stay hydrated, and if problems persist beyond 24 hours, consult your vet.
